Disaster Recovery
We initially decided to explore DSL ’s online backup system when our old back up driver began failing. Our back ups were unreliable and it got to the point where I was worried we would lose important data.
In finding a new system we had two main criteria: reliability and ease of use.
Reliability – With DSL ’s back up system, I feel confident that our data is successfully backed up on a daily basis. I also know the data is protected because it is stored both offsite and on a hard drive here in our office. I no longer need to worry about whether or not our back up was successful and I don’t need to take tapes offsite for safe keeping.
The system works by first backing up data to a small hard drive located in our office. The data is then sent daily via internet to the offsite backup centre.
Ease of use – Each morning I arrive to work to find two emails in my inbox. I simply open the emails to confirm that a successful back up was performed the previous night. The rest of the work is done for me.
Mail Filtering Service
DSL’s mail filtering system is good value and extremely effective. After an initial set up period of training the system what is / isn’t spam, using it requires no extra work on my part.
We have had no problems with spam or viruses since we began using this service.
I am happy to recommend both the disaster recovery and mail filtering services offered by DSL.
